The U.S. Embassy in Armenia has recently issued a security alert reminding the U.S. citizens in Armenia to exercise vigilance and awareness of their surroundings as the holiday season approaches.
We would hereby like to state that the criminogenic situation in the Republic of Armenia does not cause any anxiety; it is under constant Police surveillance. In Armenia it is safe for both Armenian citizens and tourists.
Armenia and Yerevan have been rated safe by numerous international organizations, and the Police and other law enforcement agencies have all the capabilities and resources and they do spare no effort to confirm that rating and to ensure the public safety. It is noteworthy that especially during the holiday season the Police carry out an enhanced service.
