Head of Police receives the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia

On Friday, May 14, Head of Police Vahe Ghazaryan received Fukushima Masanori, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia.
Welcoming the Ambassador, the Head of the police congratulated him on his appointment and wished him fruitful work.

Vahe Ghazaryan emphasized that this is the first visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia to the Police, which will promote the development of cooperation between the two sides.
The Head of Police mentioned that the law enforcement structures of the two countries are currently cooperating within the framework of Interpol. Emphasizing that crime does not recognize ethnicity, Vahe Ghazaryan attached importance to the opportunity to establish bilateral cooperation in the field of fight against organized crime and cybercrime, as well as in the spheres of Patrol service and Community policing.
Fukushima Masanori thanked for the warm reception. He particularly underscored the importance of the work of Police in ensuring the security of the citizens.
During the meeting, Deputy Head of Police Ara Fidanyan presented the details of the ongoing reforms in the Armenian Police.
The parties exchanged views on the fight against the pandemic in both countries.
The possibilities of expanding cooperation and other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
