AFP Senior Liaison officer in the Republic of Armenia visits the Police (VIDEO)

On Thursday, July 9 Head of the Police Headquarters, Police Major General Aram Zaqaryan received Mr. Marco Dokmanovich, Senior Liaison officer of the Australian Federal Police in the Republic of Armenia (with residence in Beirut).
Welcoming the guest, Mr. Zaqaryan highlighted the necessity of raising the bilateral cooperation in the sphere of fight against transnational crime to a new qualitative level. It was suggested that a legal foundation should be laid to further develop the cooperation between Police of the Republic of Armenia and the Australian Federal Police.
The meeting agenda also included a number of other issues, in particular those related to fight against transnational crime, human trafficking, illegal migration and etc.
The two parties exchanged information about police actions to combat drug abuse and illegal traffic in narcotic drugs and their precursors.
An agreement was reached to maintain close cooperation in the field of information exchange.
Mr. Marco Dokmanovich expressed appreciation of the warm welcome extended to him and assured of his readiness to continue working together to forge closer ties between Police of the Republic of Armenia and the Australian Federal Police.
The meeting was held in a warm atmosphere of mutual understanding.
Within the framework of his visit, Mr. Dokmanovich also met with Head of the Interpol NCB in Armenia, Police Lieutenant General Ara Fidanyan.
