The Chief of Police receives IRI Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the RA /VIDEO and PHOTOS/

On July 12, Police Chief Valery Osipyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Seyed Kazem Sadjadi.
Welcoming the guest, the Chief of the Police underlined the importance of the friendly relations between the two countries, in particular, the close cooperation between law enforcement agencies, which is gradually developing.
Seyed Kazem Sadjadi, in his turn, thanked Valery Osipyan for the warm welcome and congratulated him on his appointment as Chief of Police and conveyed the invitation of the Iranian Police Chief to visit Iran.
The Ambassador expressed confidence that the meeting of the Heads of the law enforcement agencies of the two countries will boost further cooperation. It was also mentioned that meetings between the two police staffs will prove mutually beneficial.
The two sides highlighted the importance of the cooperation especially in the fight against illegal drug trafficking and detection of wanted persons.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran noted that Iranian tourists have always enjoyed good treatment in Armenia, and the Police have a valuable role in ensuring their safety.
The Ambassador said that Iranian entrepreneurs' interest in starting business projects in Armenia has recently been quite noticeable.
The Police Chief ensured that both Iranian tourists and businessmen will surely feel safe and secure in our country.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
