Wanted person on charges of illegal drug trafficking and drug smuggling was transferred from Spain to Armenia
The operational information received by the Criminal Police was implemented in cooperation with the officers of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Armenia. As a result of international cooperation, a 41-year-old resident of Yerevan was located and arrested by the law enforcement authorities of the Kingdom of Spain. He had been wanted by the Yerevan City Department of the Criminal Police since 2023 on charges of illegal drug trafficking and drug smuggling. Arrest was selected as the measure of restraint.
On the night of September 9, the 41-year-old man was transferred to Armenia on the Barcelona-Yerevan flight and handed over to the officers of the Yerevan City Department of the Criminal Police.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
