Iranian fugitive detained at one of Armenia’s border crossing points

As a result of the operative-search measures, citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Salek M. was detained at “Agarak” BCP and taken to the Meghri Police division on Wednesday, April 29, at 12.15 am. The foreigner had been wanted by the Central Police division on charges of part 4 Article 235 of the RA Criminal Code (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) since March 28, 2020.
Recognizance not to leave has been selected as a measure of restraint.
