Iranian fugitive detained at the Yerevan airport

On Saturday, April 17, Beirut-Yerevan flight passenger Afshin I. (DOB 1977) was taken to the Police Line division following operational-search measures carried out by the officers of the "Zvartnots" airport Police Line division. The detainee had been wanted by Interpol NCB in the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges under Article 1 of the IRI Criminal Code (Sale of someone else's property) since July 14, 2019.
Custody has been selected as a measure of restraint.
The NCB of Interpol in Armenia and the prosecutor have been notified about Afshin I.’s detection.
