A delegation led by First Deputy Director of the Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation visits Armenian Police (VIDEO)

On Monday, March 30 First Deputy Head of the RA Police, Police Lieutenant Colonel Hunan Poghosyan received the delegation led by First Deputy Director of Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation, Police Colonel General Vladimir Kalanda.
Urgent issues related to the fight against illicit drug trafficking in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia, as well as further extension and improvement of cooperation between the RA Police and the FDCS were discussed during the meeting.
Among other issues discussed at the meeting were elaboration of mechanisms for exchange of operational information mainly regarding drug transportation, transport routes and dealers.
Arrangements concerning the organization of training courses for Armenian police officers at Siberian law institute of the Russian Federation were made during the meeting.
Vladimir Kalanda expressed hope that the well-established cooperation between the RA Police and the FDCS will further be developed, deepened and strengthened.
During the meeting the "2015-2018 Action Plan for cooperation between the RA Police and Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation in the field of counteraction to narcothreat" was formally signed by the two sides.
