Crime news report for the period from 13 to 16 March 2020

According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 138 cases of crime were detected by officers of various police subdivisions in the territory of the republic from March 13 to March 16, 19 of which were earlier committed crimes.

In particular, 30 cases of theft of personal property, 22 cases of bodily harm, 12 cases of fraud, 9 cases of drug detection and domestic violence, 5 cases of misappropriation or embezzlement, 4 cases of byrglary and illegal tree felling, 3 cases of abuse of power, 2 cases of kidnapping, seizure of weapons and ammunition, unlawful deprivation of liberty, battery and death threats, 1 case of intentional damage to property, cybercrime, hooliganism, poaching, illegal crossing of state border, torture, drug trafficking, drug smuggling, detection of cold steel weapon, obstruction of professional activities and obstructing the child’s communication with one of the parents or another close relative.
2 missing persons have been located, 6 wanted persons have been found, 7 others turned themselves in to the Police, 3 cases of voluntary surrender of arms and ammunition have been registered.
From earlier committed crimes 17 cases of personal theft and 1 case of bodily harm and car theft have been solved.
Over the past 3 days, 33 accidents have been registered in the Republic: 3 persons died, 53 people received bodily injuries of different levels of gravity.
