On October 18 chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia Vladimir Gasparyan held a meeting in the RA police, during which newly appointed deputy chiefs of the RA police Anubagh Hambaryan and Samvel Hovhannisyan were introduced to the leadership of the Central Apparatus of Police.
The police chief congratulated Anubagh Hambaryan and Samvel Hovhannisyan on their accession to such a responsible office and wished them success in the new sphere of activity.
Next Vladimir Gasparyan introduced newly appointed head of Lori provincial department of the RA police Artak Karapetyan.
Vladimir Gasparyan highly appreciated the former deputy chiefs’ activity, and noted that they are retiring and they have really deserved that rest. The police chief also touched upon the plans of establishing a Council of advanced specialists of the police system, which will enable honored officers to still remain in their rows and use their rich experience thus stimulating the process of formation of a new police system.
The police chief assured that the new generation of police officers coming up to take their place is not only ready to borrow that experience but is also a genuine successor of the best traditions and the heroic deed committed by police lieutenant Narek Stepanyan, an investigator of Sisian Investigative division, who was employed only a year ago, witnesses to that fact. The fellow police officer exposed his own life to danger to save a drowning girl’s life. By the decree of the RA police chief Narek Stepanyan was decorated with the highest reward of the Police system, namely – medal “For heroic deed”.
By the end of the meeting Sasha Afyan and Hovhannes Hunanyan expressed their gratitude to Vladimir Gasparyan for acknowledgment of their services and wished the newly appointed deputy chiefs a successful activity.
