Man on Georgian law enforcers’ wanted fugitive list detected at Yerevan’s airport
As a result of the operational-search measures carried out by the employees of the Criminal Investigation unit of "Zvartnots" airport Police Line division, Krasnodar-Yerevan flight passenger 67-year-old Edik A. was taken to the Police Line division on October 9. The man had been wanted by law enforcement officers of the city of Tbilisi on charges of attempted murder since May 11. 2000.
Custody has been selected as a measure of restraint.
The initiator of the intelligence and the prosecutor's office have been notified of Edik A.'s detection.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
