Police detect man wanted for murder since 2019; he is under arrest

On September 8, the cooperation of the RA Police and the National Security Service gave another result. During the implementation of the operational data received by the National Security Service, officers of Erebuni Police division detained 41-year-old Armen S. in Lanjazat village of Ararat marz. Custody has been selected as a measure of restraint.
As a reminder, on December 18, 2019, at about 10:20 pm, Erebuni Police division received a message from Erebuni Medical Center that a man's body had been taken to the hospital. The officers from different police departments who arrived at the medical institution found out that the deceased was a 43-year-old resident of the 4th lane of Yerkatughainneri street, who was taken to the hospital from the 2nd lane of Yerkatughainneri street. The man was shot there. As a result of large-scale operational-search measures and investigative actions, factual data about the identity of the person who committed the murder was obtained, the murder was solved in hot pursuit. A decision was made to bring accusation against 41-year-old Armen S., and on December 23 he was put on the wanted list.
Armen S. has been taken to a penitentiary institution.
The preliminary investigation of the initiated criminal case continues.
