Police of the Republic of Armenia host reception for the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to the Republic of Armenia (VIDEO and PHOTO)

On February 5 Head of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant General Vladimir Gasparyan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to the Republic of Armenia Giovanni Ricciulli. 
Welcoming the guest, Vladimir Gasparyan expressed hope that the Ambassador would give new impetus to their cooperation so that the police structures of Armenia and Italy will reach a qualitatively new stage of cooperation. The Head of Police stressed the necessity of the full realization of cooperation potential.
In this context, Vladimir Gasparyan noted that there is already a cooperation agreement between Italian and Armenian police structures and effective working relationships are maintained through Interpol NCB in Armenia, the Head of Police also attached importance to maintaining more immediate and substantive cooperation in various spheres, in particular, in the fields of counteraction of trafficking in human beings and illegal turnover of narcotic drugs, detection of wanted persons, acquisition of modern forensics  equipment, study of new policing methods and technologies and etc.
Ambassador Ricciulli thanked for the warm reception, assuring that during his tenure he would do his best to deepen and strengthen the bilateral relations between the two police structures.
During the meeting the parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
