The RA police chief received the delegation of pre-electoral observation mission of PACE ad hoc commission

On January 17 the RA police chief, Lieutenant General Vladimir Gasparyan received the delegation of pre-electoral observation mission of PACE ad hoc commission headed by Karin Woldseth.
Giving the guests a warm welcome, the police chief presented the measures being taken and aimed at clarifying voters’ lists, ensuring meetings in the pre-electoral stage, protecting the presidential candidates and a number of issues, the solution of which is the guarantee of holding the forthcoming elections on a high level.
Vladimir Gasparyan mentioned that the large scale works, carried out in that sphere and the rich experience of the previous elections give a reason to assure that during the elections and in the pre-electoral stage the police will completely realize its functions stipulated by law.
Expressing her gratitude for the cordial reception, Karin Woldseth positively assessed the works carried out on short notice and expressed a hope that the police will play its essential role during the elections.
During the meeting the parties discussed other issues of mutual interest.
