During the forthcoming presidential elections in the RA the police will adhere to its mission of observing the requirements of  law and protecting the citizen's interests (VIDEO)

On December 18 the first meeting of the operative headquarters established in the central apparatus of the RA Police for the sake of public order maintenance and provision of a normal course of the electoral process during the forthcoming presidential elections on February 18, 2013, took place. The head of the RA police, lieutenant general Vladimir Gasparyan was presiding over the meeting.
Before referring to the agenda items the head of the Police found it necessary to touch upon the issues which have a negative influence on the implementation of the functions of struggle against crime and maintenance of public order.
Referring to the activity of the operative headquarters, coordinating the police activities during the presidential elections, Vladimir Gasparyan reminded that the presidential elections have their peculiarities and while organizing its work the operative headquarters should take those facts into account, giving the priority to its mission of observing the requirements of law and protecting citizen's interests.
During the meeting Vladimir Gasparyan also referred to a number of issues and charged the heads of the subdivisions with certain missions.
