First Deputy Head of Police receives the delegation of the Ministry of the Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran (VIDEO)
On February 26, First Deputy Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia Arman Sargsyan received the delegation of the Security Police of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Welcoming the guests, the First Deputy Police Chief highlighted the importance of the well-established cooperation between the two countries which in its turn has resulted in close cooperation between the Armenian and Iranian law enforcement agencies.
Hossein Kalantari, Head of the Department for Security Issues at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the IRI, thanked for the reception and summed up the two-day working visit to Armenia.
Mr. Kalantari stated that numerous issues were discussed during the productive meetings with the leadership of the Headquarters of the RA Police, Road Police, Interpol National Central Bureau, General Department on combatting organized crime. The delegate outlined new directions of cooperation.
The two sides discussed other issues of mutual interest as well.
At the end of the meeting, Head of the RA Police Headquarters Armen Ghukasyan and Head of the Department for Security Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Kalantari signed the protocol of the second meeting of the Security Joint Working Group between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia.
