Enhancing the Geography of the International Police Cooperation (VIDEO)

On Tuesday, July 7 Deputy Head of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Police Major General Vardan Yeghiazaryan received the delegation led by Macao International Police Association President Lay Hong Poi.
Present at the meeting were Mr. Tian Erlun, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia, and Mr. Sorin Vasile, Romania's Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia.
Welcoming the guests, Mr. Yeghiazaryan presented the current stage of police reforms and outlined police activities, especially those in the sphere of international cooperation. Mr. Yeghiazaryan highlighted the importance of international police experience and stated that the latter is placed under scrutiny and is frequently applied in the daily activities of the Armenian Police. Mr. Yeghiazaryan expressed Armenian side's readiness to enhance cooperation with Macao police to actively exchange relevant experience.
A special emphasis was placed on signing the Memorandum on “Cooperation between Police of the Republic of Armenia and the Social Safety Ministry of the People’s Republic of China in the sphere of crime prevention and disruption”, which will raise the existing cooperation to a new qualitative level.
Mr. Lay Hong Poi expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and assured that further development of the bilateral cooperation will favour the common struggle against crime.
Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia Mr. Tian Erlun and Romania's Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia Sorin Vasile also expressed their gratitude for the high-level international police cooperation.
Full and exhaustive answers were provided to all the questions posed by the guests.
The meeting was held in a warm atmosphere of mutual understanding.
