The delegation of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations visits the Police (VIDEO)

On Wednesday, July 22 Head of the Police Headquarters, Police Major General Aram Zaqaryan received the U.S. FBI's delegation led by Mr. Charles Pavelites, Supervisory Special Agent of the U.S. FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services Division.
Welcoming the guests, Mr. Zaqaryan highly valued the well-established cooperation between the Armenian Police and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations and expressed hope that the partnership will further be developed and strengthened.
Mr. Charles Pavelites in his turn expressed appreciation of the warm welcome extended to them and assured of the Bureau's readiness to further develop the cooperation with the Armenian Police.
The current stage of the National DNA database establishment and the possibilities of information exchange between the Armenian Police and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations were discussed during the meeting. 
A professional discussion with the experts included in the delegation was held.
Within the framework of the visit the delegates also met with Head of the Criminal Forensics Department of the RA Police, Police Colonel Lorik Safaryan, became familiar with the working environment and discussed the issue of holding training and refresher courses for the employees of the Department of Criminal Forensics.
