On Wednesday, September 16 Head of the 3rd Department of the General Department of Criminal Intelligence of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Police Colonel Nelli Duryan received the delegation of the United Nations Children's Fund Office in Armenia led by consultant Dan O’Dale.
Present at the meeting were officers from the Headquartes and Information Centre of the RA Police.
Greeting the guests, Mrs Duryan highly valued the well-established cooperation between the Armenian Police and the United Nations Children's Fund Office in Armenia and expressed hope that the partnership will further develop and strengthen.
During the meeting the activities of the RA Police aimed to prevent juvenile delinquency, raise the legal awareness of juveniles and protect their rights were presented to the guests. The process of conducting statistical studies was also discussed.
Mr. Dan O’Dale expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended to them and presented the international Crime Recording Standards applied in case of offences committed by minors. Those standards are likely to increase the efficiency of Statistical Analyses.
