"Zvartnots" airport Police detain man wanted in Qatar
As a result of the operational-search measures carried out by the employees of the Criminal Investigation unit of "Zvartnots" airport Police Line division, 45-year-old Paris-Yerevan passenger, Firuz B. was taken to the Line division on Wednesday, October 27. The detainee had been wanted by the NCB of Interpol in Qatar on charges of sale counterfeit bank coupons since September 25, 2020.
Custody has been selected as a measure of restraint.
The NCB of Interpol in Armenia and the prosecutor's office have been informed about Firuz B.’s detention.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
