33-year-old man dies after suffering injuries during a fight

At 04:25 on February 11 Nor Nork police division received a report on a man’s body found in a garden located behind one of the buildings in Avan Arinj quarter, Yerevan.
Arriving at the scene of the murder at 13/6, Avan Arinj, police operatives found Karen Verdyan’s, DOB 1981, body with several scrapes on his face.
As a result of the operational search measures and investigative actions taken by officers of Yerevan police Department along with officers of Nor Nork division and Avan subdivision, two suspects – Robert A., DOB 1996, and Mekhak K., DOB 1994, were detained at 16:00 on the same day.
In connection with K. Verdyan's murder on February 11 Police Investigation division initiated a criminal case under the Republic of Armenia Criminal Code, article 112, points 6 and  14.
Soon it was established that the two detainees - Robert A. and Mekhak K. – had started a fight with Karen Verdyan at 13/6, Avan Arinj, at 01:30 on February 1, during which they delivered several blows to Vеrdyan's face and various parts of his body, which caused Verdyan's death.
Robert A. and Mekhak K. are arrested.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
