Driver detected after committing a fatal hit-and-run accident on Vanadzor- Alaverdi highway

At 00:30 on December 12 Gugarq police division received a report from Vanadzor city Emergency station informing that  Roumanian citizen Ioan Deias's body was conveyed to the morgue of «Vanadzor» city medical centre where the latter was diagnosed with «Injuries to the chest and abdomen».
Later police operatives managed to establish that at 23:30 on December 12 the driver of an unidentified automobile knocked down Ioan Deias on the 7-th km of Vanadzor-Alaverdi highway. The man deceased on way to hospital.  The driver fled the scene.
Due to the explanatory works carried out by officers of the General Department on combating organized crime along with officers of Malatya police division, at 02:00 on December 13 Garnik M., DOB 1982, voluntarily surrendered himself at police station.
Investigation is underway.
