The murderer arrested

As it was already reported, at 14:20 on January 28, Erebuni police division received a report from hospital about Sergey Galstyan’s (born in 1969) corpse with gunshot wounds of the chest taken to the hospital.
The arrived taskforce found out that at about 14:00 on the same day an unknown person shot dead Sergey Galstyan opposite the kiosk on street 20 in Sari Tagh.
At 00:30 on January 29, due to the operational investigative measures undertaken by the police officials, the criminal was identified.
Criminal proceedings were instituted under the part 1 of the article 104 and part 1 of the article 235 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
Due to the police officials' explanatory works, at 21:20 on February 5, Edik Hakobyan, born in 1951, who had been wanted by Erebuni police division charged with offences under the article 104 (part 1) and article 235 (part 1) of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia since January 31, came to the RA police Yerevan city department.
Hakobyan voluntarily handed over the crime instrument – a homemade drum pistol loaded with 4 9 mm caliber bullets and a shot cartridge, stating that he had used it to commit the murder.
Edik Hakobyan has been arrested.
The preliminary investigation is underway.
