The Czech Republic is Eager to Continue Supporting the Ministry of The Internal Affairs of the RA

On February 9, RA Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Armenia Petr Pirunchik.
Welcoming the guest, Vahe Ghazaryan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment.
Ghazaryan appreciated the long-standing and effective cooperation with the Czech Embassy and emphasized the cooperation in the field of education, thanks to which mutual visits were organized to the educational institutions of the two countries.
The minister also highlighted the memorandum of understanding signed in Yerevan in 2022 between the Internal Security Department of the Armenian Police and the General Inspectorate of the Czech Security Forces, which created conditions for close professional ties in the field of internal security.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Petr Pirunchik thanked for the warm reception and congratulated Vahe Ghazaryan on his appointment as the Minister of Internal Affairs in the RA.
Petr Pirunchik noted the close cooperation both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union, thanks to which a number of measures were implemented in the police, as well as rescue and migration services.
The Ambassador inquired about the reforms in the services subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and expressed readiness to continue cooperation.
Arpine Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, presented the process of formation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and reforms implemented in subordinate services. She emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation in terms of development of subordinate services and complying with international standards. Armen Mkrtchyan, Head of the Police Headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, presented data published by international authoritative platforms, according to which Armenia and Yerevan are in leading positions in the list of safe countries and cities.
The two sides also discussed issues related to police, migration and citizenship, rescue services and other issues of mutual interest.
