Man wanted by the law enforcement officers of Uzbekistan detained at the "Zvartnots" airport
As a result of measures and explanatory work carried out by the employees of the Zvartnots airport's line department of the RA Police, on September 28, at 4:30 p.m, after the Yerevan-Sharjah flight was registered, Mansur U. (born 1981) was detained at the airport's line department. He had been wanted by by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on charges of Article 169, Part 1 and Article 227, Part 2 (Theft and Falsification of Documents) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan since September 8.
The initiator of the intelligence, as well as the Prosecutor's Office have been notified of Mansur U.’s detection.
Custody has been selected as a measure of restraint.
Note: Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and found guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
