On January 31 Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan accompanied by RA Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan visited the new administration building of the RA Police Passport and Visa Department. The objective of the PM's visit was to acquaint himself with the results of the  reforms carried out in the Passport and Visa Department of Police of the Republic of Armenia.
Tigran Sargsyan toured the administation building, observing and measuring the working conditions. The PM visited several structural divisions, namely Division of registration of application forms and that of State registration of citizens, as well as Visa division, Division of passport and exit document preparation where he had a concise conversation with the employees, spoke to citizens who expressed satisfaction with the services received during the recent months.
The Prime Minister applied in person at the passport office, went through all the necessary procedures and received a biometric passport and an ID card of the citizen of the Republic of Armenia.
The PM was reported about the reforms carried out in the passport and visa sphere. Leading officials of the Department highlighted that the introduction of the newest technologies has resulted in a significant increase of service quality and led to the minimization of customs-related corruption risks and  time spent completing paperwork.
Assessing the Passport and Visa Department performance, Tigran Sargsyan noted: “It was quite important for me to observe the customer service process. In this regard now we can state with full justification that the reforms conducted in this sphere rank as one of the greatest achievements of our country over the last 5 years.
