On Monday, May 6 RA Police Chief Valery Osipyan met with Jorgan K. Andrews,  Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, INL Director Michael Shulman, INL Senior Law Enforcement Adviser to Armenia Audie Holloway and International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Program Coordinator of the US Department of State Maritsa Hovhannisyan.
Valeri Osipyan welcomed the guests and presented the ongoing police reforms which embrace various areas, from legislative changes to social security of employees and the formation of a planned patrol service in the near future.
The two sides underlined that in the context of countering contemporary challenges the exchange of experience with law enforcement agencies is effective in the the field of implementation of police reforms, personnel training, public order and in a number of other spheres.
During the meeting a number of other issues of mutual interest were also discussed. 
At the end of his speech, Jorgan K. Andrews thanked Valery Osipian for a meaningful conversation, during which they also discussed how the law enforcement experience of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs can prove useful to the Armenian National Police in implementation of its ambitious reforms. 
The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere.
