The Delegation of the European Union to Armenia visits the the Police (VIDEO)

On Thursday, July 16 Head of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Lt. Gen. Vladimir Gasparyan received Head of the Delegation of European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea and the persons accompanying him.
Welcoming the guests, Mr. Gasparyan highly valued the well-established cooperation between the Armenian Police and the European Union, in particular the EU’s assistance and support to the implementation of police reforms.
The Police Chief highlighted that the cooperation is fully in accord with the radical reforms in the RA Police.
Underlining the prophylactic and explanatory works carried out with our society, Mr. Gasparyan stated that it's a process that is implemented daily. The Police Chief noted that the work with personnel has also been made the focus of attention, trainings and courses are regularly held, the legislative framework is constantly being modernized, which serves to the purpose of building public confidence and forging the links between the Police and the people. 
Mr. Traian Hristea highly valued the great will and determination which have been displayed by the Police leadership in the process of formation of a modern law enforcement system, and expressed his satisfaction over the positive steps taken so far.
The Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended to them and thanked for the joint implementation of a number of action plans during his three-year diplomatic tenure in Armenia. Mr. Ambassador mentioned that his tenure is coming to its end and expressed his confidence in the further development of the EU-Armenian Police cooperation.
The meeting agenda also included other issues of mutual interest.
