Statement

Supporters and participants of the illegal meeting, which has been conducted in the capital since April 13, 2018, constantly impede the implementation of the rights and freedoms of other persons, the normal functioning of state bodies and organizations.
Up to now, Police of the Republic of Armenia has displayed tolerance to such actions, making numerous statements in an attempt to prevent illegal activities.
These meetings were already accompanied by numerous riots, during which violence was used against individuals, public property was destroyed and damaged, in such a situation, lives and health of citizens and public safety were endangered.
On April 16, 2018, in accordance with the RA law "On Freedom of Assemblies", Police of the Republic of Armenia took a decision to stop the meeting, the organizer of the meeting was notified of this decision, nevertheless, ignoring it, he keeps calling for public disobedience.
After numerous statements and warnings of the Police, the meeting organizers continue illegal actions.
Police of the Republic of Armenia calls on the meeting organizers to stop the illegal actions, otherwise the responsibility for the consequences of commensurate actions of the Police of dispersing the meeting, and, if necessary, also proportional measures of legal effect, will lie with the organizers.
