Traffic situation on the republican highways as of December 13, 10:00 a.m.

Heavy snowfall in the republic has caused road closures.  As of December 13, 10:00 a.m., Vayq-Jermuk, Jermuk-Gndevaz and Sotq-Qarvachar highways, as well as Selim pass are closed. The following highways and road sections are barely passable: section of Sevan motorway known as “Chaynaya Turns”,  Tigranashen turns, Yerevan-Sevan motorway, Dilijan turns, Berd-Chambarak, Spitak-Yerevan, Vanadzor-Alaverdi, Gavar-Martuni, Saravan – Zanger (Vayots Dzor province).
Road cleaning works aimed at ensuring  safe and comfortable Traffic conditions, are underway. Traffic Police officers are currently rendering assistance to the drivers who have stuck on icy roads.
Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution and vigilance and use the abovementioned roads in case of emergency.
