Investigation into the case of hampering www.ilur.am information website correspondent’s professional activities during Yerevan's Council of Elders election race in Nor-Norq 8-th area, Yerevan, on April 23, is underway at Nor-Norq  police division.
It was mentioned in a publication relating to this incident that the police officer serving on the scene neither intervened nor tried to prevent the incident.
Head of Yerevan police department Ashot Karapetyan assigned an official investigation in connection with that publication,  the results of which were reported to police chief Vladimir Gasparyan.
Police chief Vladimir Gasparyan has always emphasized during working conferences that each police officer, who holds a leading office, bears a personal responsibility  for every oversight or drawback  recorded in his sphere, including strict discipline.
The police chief, using the official investigation results as a basis, found to discipline the police officer, who didn’t serve properly, giving him a reprimand, as well as to administer his immediate head a severe reprimand and the deputy head for service of Nor-Norq police division was released from his office.
