Strong partnership built between the police structures of the two Armenian states

Cooperation between the police structures of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh has more than thirty years of rich experience, from year to year the partnership turns into joint work, the result of which is undeniable success in ensuring law and order.
It's been a long time since exchanging experience between various units of the two systems, joint discussions and solutions of existing problems and mutual visits by leaderships, officials and specialists of various units of the two police structures became a tradition and practice.
On July 24, a delegation of the Artsakh Republic Police headed by the Chief of Police, Major General of Police Ashot Hakopjanyan arrived in Armenia on a working visit.
The delegation was received by Head of Police of the Republic of Armenia Vahe Ghazaryan. Welcoming those present, he noted the importance of close cooperation between the polices of Armenia and Artsakh.
Chief of the Artsakh Police Ashot Hakobjanyan expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noting that their cooperation is strengthening day by day, assured of readiness to deepen and expand the partnership.
The provision that close cooperation in matters of external and internal security of the two Armenian republics is a vital necessity was repeatedly reaffirmed during the speeches.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
By the end of the meeting, Vahe Ghazaryan and Ashot Hakobjanyan signed a memorandum of cooperation, after which the award ceremony took place.

On August 27 the delegation of the Armenian Police headed by Head of the RA Police Vahe Ghazaryan left for Artsakh. On the same day, President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan received Head of the Armenian Police Vahe Ghazaryan. At the meeting, in which the head of Police of the Republic of Artsakh Ashot Hakobjanyan took part, the issues of cooperation between the partner structures of Artsakh and Armenia were discussed. Both sides agreed on more active, coordinated work of the law enforcement agencies of the two Armenian republics, which will have a positive impact on the effective solution of the problems posed to them. On August 28, the delegation of the Armenian Police visited the Police of the Republic of Artsakh. The leaders of the polices of the two Armenian states laid flowers at the memorial stone in memory of the policemen who died for the independence of the Motherland and in the defense of law and order.
Then Chief of Artsakh Police Ashot Hakopjanyan received the delegation of the Armenian Police. Ashot Hakobjanyan noted that close cooperation between the polices of Artsakh and Armenia has always been fruitful and at a high level, and with the memorandum signed on July 24, 2020, it promises to become more durable, stable and effective. Head of the Armenian Police Vahe Ghazaryan, thanking for the warm welcome, assured that the existing close cooperation is noticeable and will continue.
After the speeches, an award ceremony took place.
The return visits of the heads of the police structures of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh were a step towards strengthening cooperation between the two law enforcement systems, deepening partnerships and ensuring efficiency of work, as evidenced by the detection of a person wanted for fraud in Kashatagh region of Artsakh as a result of cooperation between the police structures of Armenia and Artsakh in just two days after the meeting of the chiefs of polices. The cooperation between the polices of Armenia and Artsakh is daily and promising.
