Works on placing new video surveillance cameras and speedometers are underway

The Traffic Police inform that works on placing new video surveillance cameras and speedometers controlling road traffic and fixing traffic rule violations on metropolitan streets and highways of interstate importance are underway. Particularly, from September 23, 2013,  video surveillance cameras which have recently been placed at the undermentioned intersections will be exploited: Shirak street – Araratyan street, Shirak street – Artashisyan street, G. Nzhdeh street – Mayisi 9 street, G. Nzhdeh street – Mantashyan street, Mashtots avenue – Khorenatsi street and Halabyan street – Kievyan street. Besides, speedometers recently placed on the following road sections will be exploited:
1. 17-th km of «M-3 Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-border of Georgia» highway of interstate importance (Margahovit village administrative area), (in both direction); the maximum allowed traffic speed on this road section is 60 km/h;
2. 126-th km of «M-3 Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-border of Georgia» highway of interstate importance (Vanadzor city administrative area), (in both direction); the maximum allowed traffic speed on this road section is 60 km/h.
The Traffic Police once more calls on the drivers to keep the Traffic rules.
