26-year-old girl’s murder solved: Police are looking for his 32-year-old boyfriend

On August 17, the Department for Juvenile Affairs and Prevention of Domestic Violence of Erebuni division of the RA Police received information that a young girl’s body was found on Garegin Hovsepyan Street, Yerevan. The task forces immediately left for the scene of the incident and found the body of a 26-year-old girl. Traces of violence were found on her body. She was murdered. A criminal case was opened into the murder. As a result of operational-search activities, Erebuni police officers obtained information about the identity of the suspect in the commission of this especially grave crime. The employees of the Yerevan City Department of the RA Police, the Central division, Marash subdivision, as well as the employees of the Territorial Investigation division joined further activities. As a result of the search activities and investigative actions, law enforcement officers also found out a number of circumstances of the incident. According to preliminary data known to the investigation, the girl was strangled by her boyfriend, a 32-year-old foreigner. It was decided to involve him as an accused, and detention was chosen as a preventive measure. All the necessary steps are being taken to locate the accused.
