THREE HOME BASES IN THE CAPITAL

The Regulations on Organization of Community Policing Service in the Republicof Armenia, approved by the order of the Head of the RA Police, Lieutenant General Vladimir Gasparyan, comes into force in the capital on June 1. The Service will be implemented through the Outreach Stations, which will be operated according to the schedule. On June 30 The Head of the RA Police Vladimir Gasparyan participated in the opening ceremony of the three Outreach Stations.  The Outreach Stations, located in Kurghinyan, Hambardzumyan and Reinis Streets will operate on the territory, serviced by Malatia, Arabkir and Kanaker-Seytoun Police Divisions.During his meetings with the population, Vladimir Gasparyan explained the principles and significance of organization of Police service by means of Outreach Stations. The newly opened Outreach Stations are one more step in strengthening ties between Police and Public, developing cooperation among citizens, increasing legal consciousness of society.
The direct work of Police with the population will have positive results on the improvement of moral and psychological environment of the community, implementation of coexistence rules, and finally, on maintenance of public order, which is the purpose of Police and the wish of population.  The capital is divided into 40 Outreach Stations.  7 community police officers are officiated at the Outreach Station, one of which is doing juvenile issues.  Each Outreach Station is providing service for 30,000 population, and a citizen can apply with not only Police-related matters, but also with useful programs and proposals, being aware, that, a police officer is first of all the member of society and an ally in maintenance of public peace and welfare.
Up to date a three Outreach Stations have been operating in the capital, two of them on the territory of the Arabkir Police Division, and the third in the Central Division.  The Outreach Stations of the Central, Erebouni, Nor-Nork, Mashtots and Shengavit Divisions of Police are currently under construction, and will be put into operation soon.  The process of Community Policing establishment in the republic continues.
