Interacting with Ukrainian counterparts

At the initiative of the OSCE office in Yerevan the delegation of Police of the Republic of Armenia led by Head of the Department of Public Relations and Information of the RA Police Ashot Aharonyan made a visit to Ukraine from December 1 to 7, 2013. The delegation of the Police was accompanied by representatives from the OSCE office in Yerevan and the National Center for Legal Researches NGO.
Head of the Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Major of Militia Sergey Burlakov welcomed the Armenian delegation. Sergey Burlakov provided a broad overview of the structure of the Department.
In his turn, Head of the the RA Police delegation Ashot Aharonyan gave an outline of reforms that have recently been carried out in Police of the Republic of Armenia  and spoke about the main achievements in th relevant sphere. The Ukrainian counterparts took a special interest in our “Angels”  élite  unit.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Lekar hosted a reception for the Armenian delegation.
Within the framework of the visit the delegation of Police of the Republic of Armenia made a visit to the Academy and the Primary scool of the Ministry of Internal affairs of Ukraine.
The RA Police delegation also met with chairman of the All-Ukrainian Special Board for Fighting Corruption and Organized Crime NGO Yuri Lavrenyuk. Issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
The editorial office of the new-found  “112” television channel also hosted a reception for the Armenian delegation.
On December 7 the delegation led by Head of the Department of Public Relations and Information of the RA Police Ashot Aharonyan  left for Yerevan.
