Man arrested for murder after hot pursuit

On Thursday September 11 at 2:20 a.m. Kanaqer-Zeytun police division received a report from hospital about a middle-aged man’s body found on Tbilisyan highway, Yerevan.
Shortly after arriving at the scene police operatives identified the victim as Armenian citizen Armen Hakobyan, DOB 1970.
The external inspection of the body revealed incised and stab wounds caused by a sharp object.
Due to the urgent measures taken by officers of Yerevan city Department alongside their colleagues from Kanaqer-Zeytun division and Investigation division of the RA Police,  the murderer was soon identified as thrice-convicted Arman M., DOB 1982, and arrested after hot persuit.
Several expert examinations have been scheduled.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
