According to the results of public opinion polls conducted by Gallup international association, 60 % of respondents positively rated the recent changes in the police system (VIDEO and PHOTO)

On December 27 the presentation of the results of public opinion polls conducted by Gallup Internation Association took place. The public opinion poll conducted in October, 2013, was aimed at evaluation of the activities of a number of spheres of activities of Armenian Police and Ministry of Emergency Situations and Yerevan municipality.
Thus about 60 % of respondents positively rated the recent changes in the police system of the Republic of Armenia, 62 % of respondents welcomed the performance of Patrol service during holidays, in the case of emergency and during public events, and 64 % of respondents highly rated the service quality provided by Police Special battalion – “Angels”.
Apart from the fact, that the poll results reveal people's real attitude towards the recent changes in the police system of Armenia, they are surely an indicative of the significant increase of public demands towards the Police and public control over police activities. This is surely a quite important fact in the development of mutual ties between the Police and the population. Representatives of the Police and Ministry of Emergency Situations and Yerevan municipality made reports during the presentation and then they answered journalists' questions.
