Works on placing speedometers and video cameras controlling road traffic and fixing traffic rule violations are underway

The Traffic Police informs that works on placing speedometers and video cameras controlling road traffic and fixing traffic rule violations on Yerevan city streets and interstate importance highways are underway.
Particularly, from February 11, 2013, video cameras, controlling traffic speed and fixing traffic rule violations, which have recently been placed at the following crossroads: Avetisyan street- Saralanj new road, Armenakyan street – Saralanj new road, Zaqyan street – Khorenatsi street, Leningradyan street – Sebastiya street, Abovyan street – Sayat-Nova street, Teryan street – Sayat-Nova street, Teryan street – Koryun street and Mashtost avenue  - Grigor Lusavorich street, and as well as road traffic controlling speedometers recently placed on the 13.9-14 km section of the «M5-Yerevan- Armavir -border of the Republic of Turkey» interstate importance highway (Ptghnunq village area), in both directions Yerevan city - Armavir town and Armavir town - Yerevan city (maximum allowed traffic speed is 60 km/h) and on Araratyan street, Ejmiatsin city (maximum allowed traffic speed is 40 km/h) will be exploited.
The Traffic Police once more calls on the drivers to keep the Traffic rules.
