RA Police Chief Receives U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia (VIDEO and PHOTOS)

On March 18, RA Police Chief Valery Osipyan received U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Lynne Tracy and INL Director Michael Shulman.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Valery Osipyan presented the cooperation between the RA Police and the US Embassy, which is primarily focused on the fight against drug trafficking, human trafficking, domestic violence, and money laundering. It was stated that regular seminars, training sessions and experience sharing meetings with the participation of US relevant experts are held for the police within the framework of the well-established cooperation.
The Chief of Police expressed hope that close cooperation will not only be maintained but will also develop, including new spheres.
Lynne Tracy expressed gratitude for the warm reception, highly appreciating the work of the Armenian Police.
The Ambassador noted that he was glad to meet Police Chief Valery Osipyan and examine how the United States Government can assist the Police Chief in boosting the capacities of the Armenian Police by means of promoting the culture of serving the people of the country.
The two sides talked about the formation of the patrol police in Armenia, the introduction of a point system in the traffic police and discussed the cooperation opportunities in other fields.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
