Young man deceases in hospital after receiving a stab wound

At 08:30 on September 4 Mashtots police division received a report from hospital informing that Vahag Petrosyan, DOB 1990, was hospitalized with the diagnosis of « bleeding laceratedwound in the back part of left leg”.
Petrosyan’s mother told the police tactical group that her son had fallen down  the stairs, as a result of which he got an injury.
At 23:30 on the same day V. Petrosyan deceased in hospital.
A forensic-medical examination has been assigned.
Thanks to the operational search and investigation measures taken by police officers, it was established that about 00:00 on September 4 Grigor P., DOB 1974,  caused a stap wound to the back part of Petrosyan's left leg during a quarrel near building 2 located on Oganov street, causing hiPetrosyan a bodily injury.
Grigor P. was detained and has confessed in having committed a crime.
The knife – crime instrument – has been seized.
Criminal proceeding has been initiated under article 112, part 2, paragraph 14 of the RA Criminal code.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
